Regional Boundaries

The boundaries layer includes administrative areas such as Territorial Authority areas and Regional Council areas. The Territorial Local Authority dataset displays the extents of the local body councils (Territorial Authorities). The Regional Councils dataset displays the extents of the Regional Councils. Both are supplied by Statistics New Zealand.

NZFS Suburbs

The NZFS Suburbs dataset contains suburbs and districts as defined by the New Zealand Fire Service (NZFS) Localities dataset. These are defined and maintained by the New Zealand Fire Service.

Contours

The contours are derived from the LINZ 1:50,000 vector topographical dataset. These have been generalised for eMap.

• Contour information assists in planning when the heights of roads, hills, land parcels etc are required
• Update frequency: Annually
